My training is ‘Integrative Counselling’ which means that I have learnt a lot about the core skills (listening, empathy, genuineness etc) of counselling and an overview of many styles of counselling (CBT, Solution focussed brief therapy, etc). I am able to use and adapt these to suit my clients.

I try to find ways of working that will fit the client as a person; to listen and strive to understand deep feelings or be more directive and make suggestions or more active and ask you to try certain activities.

It’s very much about what suits you personally.
