After my BSc Degree in Psychology I went on to train for a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy at the University of East London. My aim throughout was to become a counsellor with ethical training, as there is still no governing body monitoring counsellors, whether qualified or not, to see clients in a safe manner. Although affiliation with a governing body is wholly voluntary, I am currently a student member of the BACP. I have worked extensively for clients with enduring mental health problems over the last four years. My Psychology background has given me both the theory and the reality of mental health within a community setting and the understanding that we all suffer with difficulties at some stage in our lives. Sexuality and unusual sexual lifestyles have been an interest of mine for many years. Currently my focus is working with Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender clients. My outlook is inclusive and non-judgemental to many and varied choices of lifestyles I am based in Portsmouth on the south coast and I am always open to seeing clients who wish to discuss any issue that may be causing them concern. |
